Haim Sasi

“I laid wounded for an hour and a half and wrote to a friend: ‘Don’t immortalize me. There are better people than me here that should be.'”

Haim Sassi, 50 years old from Sderot, a volunteer in the “United Hatzalah”, jumped without hesitation to save a life. He injured his leg, hand, and face, and made himself a tourniquet. He said Psalms but he had “not said goodbye to anyone and didn’t write to my wife that I love her”. What frustrated him and what was he surprised to discover in the van of the terrorists.
